We had a lovely time on Piers’ motor boat. He fitted us out with a life jacket each, making sure they fitted us properly, especially my granddaughter who is only 3! Then he took us around the local coast at Solva on an hour long trip with our 3 quiet dogs. (Barking dogs not allowed, quite rightly as they’ll scare the birds, of which there are thousands). It was 3pm and the sun was out and it was a glorious day. Piers has excellent local knowledge of the coast and islands and told us as much as we wanted to know. Highly recommended.Jimmy G
We went out of Solva Harbour and around the islands and coast for a couple of hours… Our Skipper gave the most wonderful commentary and descriptions of the area. We can’t wait to visit this part of Wales again and take another boat trip.. truly 5* event…BigBadBobbieBrown
Struggling to sell one multi-million dollar home currently on the market won’t stop actress and singer Jennifer Lopez from expanding her property collection. Lopez has reportedly added to her real estate holdings an eight-plus acre estate in Bel-Air anchored by a multi-level mansion. The property, complete with a 30-seat screening room, a 100-seat amphitheater and a swimming pond with sandy beach and outdoor shower, was asking about $40 million, but J. Lo managed to make it hers for $28 illion. As the Bronx native acquires a new home in California, she is trying to sell a gated compound.

Solva is a wonderful place to sail and we are one of very few centres whose sailing area is located on the open sea. It is challenging and sometimes difficult sailing, but the rewards are great. We work to maximise our strengths by offering tuition to small groups of people and specialise in offering a unique opportunity for competent sailors to broaden their experience and hone their skills.
Flexibility is the key. Working round the tides and assessing weather conditions are core skills for enjoying our magnificent St Bride’s Bay sailing area. Safety is a major consideration: all sea-sailing takes place with a safety boat in attendance and if we think the weather is unsuitable we will not go, and you pay nothing.
All our activities are run to order and customised to be suitable for the group’s abilities. For this reason, we are unable to run courses for individuals – minimum numbers are three people for beginner’s courses and two people for all other courses.
Contact us with your requirements and we will come back quickly with a quote. It always helps if you can give us brief details of your dinghy experience or RYA qualifications.
If you have dinghy experience, try one of our popular short sails – two hours sailing including assistance with rigging and launching, briefing, and help with recovery. You will need to bring your own crew.
